How To Do An IDE HDD Low Level Format:
Leave only the HDD you want to format connected to the computer as a single primary
HDD. Start up the computer, and when the screen comes up with the Message "Hit
Del if you
want to run setup", hit the "Delete" key to get into the BIOS
Main Menu. Select "IDE HDD Auto detect", detect Primary IDE, select
normal -- mode 1, press Esc. Escape, go to HDD Low level format (only available
in some Award BIOS motherboards), select the HDD you want to format, then proceed
with the low level format. After the low level format, you need to partition the
HDD, then format (DOS Format) the HDD using fdisk.

How To Find Out Which Parts Cause The Computer To Crash?
1). Fit the M/B into the case with extra care, make sure the board is not short
circuited with the case (under), especially look for those brass screw holders
-- they should all match
the mainboard's mounting holes and screws. If any one of those brass screw
holders short circuit the M/B the circuit will cause the computer to fail.
2). Turn the power on with only the motherboard, CPU, RAM and Video Card fitted.
Make sure the motheboardd
and Video Card powers up and the BIOS is detected.
3). If the BIOS is detected, turn the computer off and connect the HDD and FDD
to the computer. NOTHING ELSE.
4). Boot up windows (your HDD should have windows installed already).
5). After a quick test to make sure everything works, add the other cards ONE
BY ONE.
6). After adding each card, check if everything is still working, then add another
card.
7). You should find that after adding a particular card, the computer starts
having
problems, and when you remove it the problem is gone.
8). Now you should know what is likely to be causing the problem.
