: Is it safe to use a Credit Card online?

:: Using a credit card to purchase a product online is in fact much safer than carrying out a transaction for a meal in a restaurant. This is because creating duplicates or leaking your details from a 'hand-roll' machine, used in numerous retail stores is extremely simple. However, no duplicates are created by our online service due to the fact our electronic terminal merely verifies your credit card details with your creditor gateway.

: What about while my details are being transferred over the internet?

:: Online Market has invested in a secure server (SSL - Secure Socket Layer). A secure server will encrypt your data from anywhere between 40 bit to 128 bits depending on the support of your browser. To date it has proven virtually impossible to crack this encryption, and secure servers are monitored 24hrs, 7 days a week.

: Why don't I see the 'encryption padlock' in my browser when the order form loaded?

:: This is because our order form is held within a 'frame.' The frame itself is not encrypted, and the browser is signifying that. To see if the individual form template is encrypted, simply right click the order form and select properties. You will see connection: SSL 3.0, RC4 with 40 bit encryption (Low); RSA with 512 bit exchange. Furthermore, the URL has a https:// prefix, as opposed to http. https refers to a 'secure' address.

: What about my credit card details stored in the Secure Server?

:: Secure Servers are monitored around the clock, every day of the year. It is almost impossible for hackers to break into the latest technology. Even with older technology there are a very limited number of circumstances in which hackers have breached secure servers. Technology continues to improve even now, and we do our best to keep up with on-going changes. Plus we have implemented credit card number masking into our server, so even the data has been hacked or leaded, those card number are invisible to any one with the security key to decrypt it. However, if users wish to cease dealing with us and would prefer to have their details removed, we will do this at their request.

: When will my credit card be charged?

:: Some websites use an automatic payment gateway. That means upon submitting your order, the charge will be lodged against your credit card immediately. However, we with-hold our charges until your order has been reviewed and the goods are ready to ship. So the moment your order has been reviewed and and ready to processing, we will charge your card accordingly.

:: If the customer intends to come to our store and pick up their order, we request the customer to present the credit card paying in counter when come to pick up. Furthermore, it is worthy to take note that if you wish to pay with a credit card and intend on picking the products up yourself, you are no longer required to enter your credit card details on the order form, just leave the credit card number blank in the form. Make sure you have your credit card with you when you come to pick up your goods.

: How does On Line Marketing verify the card holder's identity?

:: Internet fraud continues to become more and more frequent over the past few years. On Line Marketing has successfully identified few cases of Internet credit card fraud through this website, some of cases have been lead to arrested by police, with others under further investigation.

:: To defend against Internet fraud more effectively, we have made it company policy to carry out the following precautions.

:: IP Address Log
For every order placed on our website, the unique Internet address of that specific user is recorded. This allows us to trace the details of that user through the ISP if fraudulent activity is discovered.

:: ISP Email Address Requested
We request your ISP email address to match the ISP details against your IP address. For example, if you are on Telstra Cable we expect you to provide your Telstra email account details (user@bigpond.net.au), and your IP address will check out as a Telstra IP address.

:: Card Holder Identity
If you are not an authorised user (completed this process before) and your order exceeds $100.00 you will be requested to carry out our card holder identity verification. You will be required to make a photocopy of the front and back of your credit card and drivers license. You will also be required to write the following on the piece of paper.

I authorize 'Online Marketing (Aust)' to debit my credit card xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx for the orders I have placed on their web site.

Then sign the piece of paper and fax it to us. This process will only ever need to be carried out by you once on your card. The process is far less convenient than being a victim of credit card fraud, so it's a benefit for all concerned.

:: User Profile Credit Card Number Hidden
In case your account login details are leaked, the credit card number within your user profile will be hidden apart from the last four numbers e.g. xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-1356.
